Outdoor Adventure

Join us as we look for animal tracks, have a scavenger hunt and make
a craft from materials we collect.
Junior
Finding Your Way
Date: July 31; 10-Noon
Limit: Max. 20; Min. 5
A lesson on geo-caching, map reading and how to use a compass is
what this badge is all about.
Brownie and

Fit for a Princess
Date: June 26; 10-Noon
Limit: Max. 20, Min. 5
Girls will have fun learning about nutrition and physical fitness
while they earn this colorful participation patch.

Leaders, please note:
Discovery Center Badge Day policy:
Registration is required for all Badge day events. Leaders or
parents must contact the Discovery Center to register by noon on the
day prior to the Badge Day. Call 605-224-8295 or e-mail suedouglas@sd-discovery.com.
First come, first serve.
Cost for each Badge day is $9 per girl (tax included). United Way funds
are available for girls in Pierre/Ft. Pierre troops upon request.
NEW POLICY!
Pre-payment is required when you register. You can mail a check
when you call or provide a credit card number. Your
registration will not be finalized until payment is received.
Please contact the SD Discovery Center by Friday noon before the badge day
with a final count. If the final count is less than the
original count, the difference will be credited towards future badge
days.
All workshops will be held at the SD Discovery Center in Pierre, 805
W. Sioux Avenue unless otherwise noted.
Programs are set up in stations and leaders or parents may be asked
to stay and help with activities.
Girls will receive their badges the day of the activity or badges
will be sent to leaders within 2 weeks of the Badge Day.
Tennis shoes required.
Prepaid cancellations will be credited towards future badge days.
